I really think there is a little gnome who lives in our cupboards and delights in separating bowls from their matching lids. I have no idea what happens to the various lids and bowls the gnome steals, but the result is that we have 9 million plastic bowls, 7 million plastic lids, and about 3 matching sets! Unfortunately this means that leftovers typically end up covered in plastic wrap (which ends up sticking more to itself than the bowl) or foil (which means I have no idea what is in each bowl in the fridge).
