The Ultimate Family Vacation

Sponsored By

Cheerios® is giving you the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, your ultimate family vacation. As part of a paid promotion for their “Do What You Love” Sweepstakes, Cheerios® is sponsoring my post today about what my ultimate family vacation would be. Read mine, Enter the Sweepstakes for a chance to actually win your own fantasy family trip or one of a bunch of other great prizes.

I absolutely love  family time and any time my extended family gets together, there is bound to be lots of talking and lots of laughing.  In this day and age, families that get along and enjoy each others company immensely seem to be a dying breed.

I am so blessed to have this kind of family and I’m fortunate to live by some of them!  We live only a block from my mom and dad and 20 minutes away from my grandma.  Unfortunately, my sister and brother live a lot further away.  My brother is attending college in Pennsylvania and my sister and her family live in Tennessee.  This makes getting together for family gatherings a little more tricky.

This Christmas, we’ll all be getting together for an amazing family vacation.  In 76 days (yep, I’m counting them) thirteen of my favorite people, 4 guys and 9 girls (myself included) ranging in age from less than a year to 83 years old will all be heading to {drumroll please}…Jamaica!!!  That’s right, my mom and dad, my grandma, my brother, my sister and her husband and their three little girls, and my husband, daughters and I will all be going on vacation…together.

Doctors-Cave-Beach

We are all so excited.  Our passports are valid, our plane tickets have been purchased, and our reservations have been made.  I have tracked down a travel version of Trivial Pursuit and BananaGrams is sitting in the drawer of our side table just waiting to be put in my suitcase. In our family, a little friendly competition is  a regular occurrence.

Days will be spent playing in the sand, splashing in the waves, or reading and relaxing by the pool.  Evenings will be spent talking, laughing, and engaging our minds in boisterous games of Trivial Pursuit and BananaGrams.

Sun, sand, and quality family time…for me, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Don’t forget to enter the “Do What You Love” Sweepstakes, for a chance to win your own ultimate family vacation. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

Disney Cruise Line Vacation Planning DVD

I have loved all things Disney since my very first trip to Disney World in 6th grade.  I’ve visited many times since then and each and every  trip has been magical.  Last year during the Disney Social Media Moms event at Disney World, I learned about Disney Cruise Lines and I’ve been chomping at the bit since then to go on a Disney cruise!

Total Pillow Giveaway – CLOSED

I’m a total sucker for “As Seen On TV” products which is quite funny since I don’t watch TV.  (If I do happen to be near a TV that is on and I get to choose the channel, I could watch infomercials for hours!) I’m the person you’ll see at CVS standing mesmerized in the aisle with the “As Seen On TV” merchandise trying to decide which ones I want to spend my ECBs on.  To be quite honest, I’m usually disappointed in what I purchase.  The products never seem to live up to the hype!

When I was given the opportunity to try Total Pillow, I jumped on it!  My summer schedule has been insane and I knew that there would be lots of driving and flying and since I managed to lose my last travel pillow in the airport in the spring, the Total Pillow would be arriving just in the nick of time.  Plus I saw that Total Pillow locks onto your luggage to ensure that you don’t lose it in the airport.  I knew that this was worth trying.

As I waited for my Total Pillow to arrive, the doubts crept in.  Would this pillow be as good as promised? Would I actually like it? The answer is a resounding YES! It was actually better than I hoped.  I’ve used it in my office, in the car, while resting on the couch, and one of my favorite discoveries…I can lay face down on the pillow and have my kids or hubby rub my back.  I’ve never been able to lay face down on a pillow since that tends to inhibit my ability to breathe!

I’ve also found that it’s quite comfy to use while laying on the bed reading.  It is filled with tiny little beads so it doesn’t get all squishy like a regular pillow!

If you’d like to buy a Total Pillow, you can buy one for only $19.99 +S&H .  But wait, there’s more! (I love it when they say that on TV). If you order now, you can get a second Total Pillow for FREE! (You only pay the cost shipping and handling on the second pillow).

And now…what you’ve been waiting for!

Walt Disney World: Where Dreams (and Goals) Come True

My girls have been begging for a trip to Disney World since before they could speak English…seriously.  When we first adopted them and brought them home from Ukraine, they loved to watch the Disney Channel.  And whenever a Disney World commercial would come on, they would yell for me and when I’d walk in the room, they’d point at the TV with big puppy dog eyes and say “Please Mama.  We go?” I used to always smile and say “Someday, but not right now.”

It’s been 2 years and the girls have radically changed.  They’re your typical well adjusted tween and teen girls and they speak English fluently, but one of the things that hasn’t changed is their desire to go to Disney World.  They still ask regularly  (and they still try to use the big puppy dog eyes when they ask).

One of my personal goals for 2010 was to take a family trip to Disney World and that goal (and dream) is coming true next month.  My whole family is heading to Disney World in February for Disney’s Social Media Moms Conference.  This trip will not only be a fun family vacation, it will also be a great chance to network with other Social Media Moms and will allow me to check off one of my blog goals for 2010…to attend a conference.

If you have any suggestions for making the most out of our first family trip to Disney World, I’d love to hear them.  Please leave me a comment!

Also, I will be posting later this week on how to get a free day at Disney thanks to the Give A Day, Get A Day program so make sure to check back!
